‘Are we right for you and your event?’ The Village Hall has a maximum capacity of 60 people and only accepts low risk activities e.g. No Bouncy Castles or Fireworks. Details of resources are found on the Facilities page, and include a large main hall, small meeting room, kitchen and 3 toilets – one of which has disabled access / baby changing.
The Village Hall operates a ‘shared access’ policy for bowls and tennis players. They know however to use the side door for access to the building and will not encroach on hirers.

We would like to enable you to run a class or club in the Village Hall if we are right for you and your activity. Our insurance company provides basic cover for any injury to individuals or damage to the building or the site. Please read and accept fully the conditions in documents below (Insurance details and Insurance summary). For long term agreements, please email booking@ggva.co.uk with your requirements.
Do's and Don'ts
We have tried to minimise the Do’s and Don’ts, which in brief are ‘Please be pleasant and thoughtful when using the Village Hall’, but these are longer and hopefully helpful Arrival Checklist and Departure Checklist, found below.
Please be aware that the supervision of children on site is of paramount importance and requires active supervision throughout the event. For their safety, the bowling green and allotments are not to be accessed. You will be asked to read and accept insurance terms as part of the online booking, along with our Safeguarding Policy.

Our Main Room has a capacity of up to 50 persons. The Small Room, is up to 10 persons.
To cancel, email booking@ggva.co.uk a minimum of seven days before your event, giving us time to accept another booking. Tell us the date and time your event is booked for and your bank details so we can reimburse you.
Online bookings made through Hall Booking Online can be deleted. Please contact us via the above email to cancel regular events or 'one off' hires.
No. Full payments for bookings are taken as part of the booking confirmation process.
Although the Village Hall isn’t manned, we do have time limits. Events cannot start before 8am and must be finished by 6.00pm.
Regular clubs, sports teams and community groups make use of the centre throughout the week. Our up to date Calendar displays all upcoming public and private hire events.

Access details will be provided in the welcome pack, issued following payment.
For ad hoc bookings, we ask that you pay in advance; online bookings require payment as part of the process. For regular/repeat bookings, it is quarterly in advance.
When you make a online booking, you will be asked to make payment to secure your spot. Additional requests and for all other payments, we accept Bank Transfer.
